Crysis 50% Faster on XP with Dx10 like Graphics!
It's been known for a while now that EA, Crytek and Microsoft seriously hobbled the DX9 Demo version of Crysis possibly to make the DX10 version stand out more! It's also been proven that Crysis will run up to 50% faster on XP than on Vista (Benchmarks in PC User, February 2008 Issue).
In the DX9 version of Crysis the 'Very High' graphical detail settings are greyed out in XP only becoming available with DX10 and if you are running Vista. It was however soon discovered by making some changes to files or by using a hack (found in our bURnT downloads) you can enable all the 'Very High' settings under DX9 in XP and make your game look virtually the same as the DX10 version!!!
